I love Montana and Wyoming. Spent many a day and night fishing in Yellowstone. My most memorable Yellowstone moment was fishing hoppers on the Lamar river in the dark. That's right in the dark. I was getting ready to leave because the sun was setting in August when a couple of local guys showed up and asked why I was leaving just when the fishing was about to get good. I had already caught at least 12 cutthroats in less than three hours. I couldn't believe it nighttime is when the big cuts come out. All you need to do is be very quiet and listen for the slurping sound, set the hook and hang on. Thanks for this site Dave I hope to add to it in the future. My new hobby is Bass fishing can't wait for spring.
