Ossipee Lake NH Fishing Report
Ossipee Lake 6/28/2014
My folks and I headed up to NH last weekend to catch up with some old friends. Since their summer house is right on Ossipee Lake, I couldn’t resist the temptation to bring my Kayak and my fishing gear. For the abundance of Smallmouth Bass in the lake, I’d say it was a good idea. I went fishing on both Saturday and Sunday, but Saturday was the only day with any action. I first set out in the morning and managed to catch a nice 2.5 lb Smallmouth. Later in the evening, after the boat traffic had settled down, I headed out again and hooked into three more, but only managed to land one. Since I was fishing practically in my friend’s backyard, I will not be so forthcoming with the locations. Rest assured, there’s plenty of nice Smallmouth in that lake.

Smallmouth! Catch

- Bait Details: This was the first (and bigger) of the two Smallmouth I managed to boat. Despite the looks, (he bled quite a bit, I think due to gill damage) I was able to release him safely. For the billionth time, those Tequila Sunrise Power Worms produced all of the action.
